Incidentally, I highly recommend the Laughing Moon Victorian corset pattern. The instructions are well written, and the pattern is (relatively) easy to construct, and the final garment is suitable for tight-lacing.

Corset Makers
Most of these vendors offer custom-made items only, although some have off-the-rack options, also.
Starkers - Toronto, Canada. Corsets in fabric, PVC and leather - many models suitable for tightlacing. Elizabethan, Regency, Edwardian, Victorian and contemporary styles - big catalog!

Gallery Serpentine - Australia. Comment from a customer: I have an underbust corset from them, and plan to get another as soon as I can. They are lovely to deal with, very prompt, and my corset is really comfortable (I can wear it for 8 hours, no problem), gives a lovely shape, and has survived almost a year of constant wearing with no visible 'wear'(grommets still unmoved, no pulls in the fabric). They're also very reasonably priced

Alter Ego Erotics on Ebay - the cheapest steel-and-leather corsets you're likely to find. Very good selection of plus sizes and lots of different styles, but I've been warned that they're not always suitable for tight-lacing so caveat emptor. Style influence is classic Victorian hourglass.

Dark Garden - SF Bay Area. They're turnaround time can vary, so check when you order. Fabric, leather and PVC, tightlacing and fashion styles. Victorian and Edwardian styles and inspirations, but the collective is competent enough to make almost anything you have in mind.
Blackrayne - South-central Pennsylvania. Custom gothic clothing, including corsets.
Meschantes - Las Vegas, Nevada. Fetish, fashion and historical corsets, tightlacing and clubwear. I hear a lot of good buzz about these folks. Victorian styles - but broad catalog. I've recently bought a leather corsset from them through ebay (they do sales as loss-leaders) and I'm VERY happy with it. 6 - 8 week turnaround.
Delicious Corsets - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Corsets and, I'm told, corset supplies. Featured fabrics include brocade, silk, satin and strong coutil (suitable for wear by re-enactors). Mostly Victorian styles.
Underground Aristocracy - New York. Comment from a customer: Was ok. Got my corset after the event I needed it for and had to have two of them made since the first one was messed up. The second corset is gorgeous though. The designer uses more steel than a Mac truck and it feels great on! Ok price. I am torn to say go there or not, since my experience was both good and bad. (3 stars out of a possible 5)
Romantasy - San Francisco. Comment from a customer: A+. Very knowledgable. Their wesbite has tons of corset tips and you get a LOT of newsletters and info when you get your corset from them. Tips on diet while waist training, everything. They know their stuff. I got a cincher from their sales page. Highly recommended. (5 stars of a possible 5.)
Vollers Corset - an "off the rack" brand, not custom made. International distribution. Comment from a customer: (my) Vollers overbust corset... is uncomfortable and causes bruising on my ribs and hips, though I do like the shape. I know a number of other people who've had this problem, too. I had problems ordering from them - in fact I had to send the first one back, since the fabric in one panel had been wrongly cut on the bias and resulted in the busk being crooked. The second one was fine - but took ages to arrive, but as I mentioned, it's uncomfortable and the satin has pulled on the seams. I won't be getting anything else from them.
Corset Supplies
Lacis - Berkeley, CA. The only place in the Bay Area and they know it. But if you need a busk right now and you live in town, it's quicker than mail order. Boning, busks, eyelets, patterns, coutil - and a whole lot of other wonderful things, besides!
Corset Making.com - I've not bought from these guys, but their prices seem good, and their selection is varied. Boning, busks, patterns, coutil, grommet setters, corset kits, etc. They offer bulk pricing, but I don't know how it compares to other sellers.
Grannd Garb Corset Supplies - the usual selection of corset fixings, plus hoop steel, "whalebone" (plastic) and honest-to-gosh reeds.
Corset Supplies & Accessories - retailer in New York with a web-presence, offering suppliers for lingerie & corset makers. These guys sell boning in bulk only, by the dozen or by the gross. No prices on the website - kind of annoying - and I have no idea as to quality.
Farthingale's - offers a broad list of supplies, as well as fabric, magazines, etc.
Vena Cava Design - UK based corset supplies. Boning, busks, eyelets, fabric. I'm awaiting a review from a customer...
