Stayed up far too late playing City of Dreams (aka the Port Townsend game) last night. By sheer accident, Janice was the combat-monster last night and I spent far too much time wrangling with Sabbat stooges - it's kinda fun the first time, but then it palls. My particular favorite moment would have to be encountering
this yahoo - ain't that a great picture of Anthony Edwards? Of course, in the game he was Byron Molton, crazed Brujah mercenary. Janice got off the classic (awful) line of "Trust a wop to bring a knife to a gunfight," - shortly before discovering that that particular knife was magicked up to really hurt a kindred, whereas a gun - and all us vampire players know this - doesn't do much more to a vampire than shred his clothings. Ouch.
When all was said and done - around midnight - Dave, Alex and I stayed up and continued chatting in-character until nearly 1:30AM, oy. But since I love playing Janice so much, I don't have enough sense to go to bed when it's late...
I would love to twitter on more about the game, about how Janice is struggling with her favorite internal demons (humanity, the beast, burnout, etc) and all that, but I've really got to get to work...
